FYI Splash
Erasing the Log did not work a hour into the game I got the Black Screen
 Any other ideas?

Sounds very strange that it crashes so predictably, do you know if it's exactly one hour, or can it be between 40 and 75 min?
Check that you don't have any powersave things turned on on your computer that kicks in after one hour.

Osprey, assuming you mean IL2, there's a file called "hs_err_pidxxxx" where xxxx is a number generated whenever the game crashes.
Have a look in there. My issues pointed to a problem in the ati dll's which prompted me to change my graphics drivers. Worth a look maybe?

Just checked and it looks from the logfile that you have a similar error that I had. The system crashed whilst running a function in the ati dll.
I'm not sure what Catalyst drivers you're running, but I'm now running CAT 10.5's and its been better. I managed to run a complete mission last night. Give them a go maybe and I'll send on my conf.ini and you could look at setting the same settings for the OGL entries?

I DL 10.06 and it screwed up some of my graphics and cant seem to find the 10.05 DL, anyone have a link?
FOUND IT! Thanks anyway. Had to go back to 9.3 the newer version was messing up my graphics..

Apparently the recommended thing is to go to 10.5 (I didn't think I mentioned 10.6
 ) and then put the 9.10 DLL in your IL2 folder.
